How Beavertail Defines ‘Seamless’
There is a major difference between seamless and standard coaming rails. Seamless means the coaming rails are welded flush directly to the chassis with tie-down points integrated into the structure. This means leaving no bolted joins or exposed gaps where load straps can snag, or where water sits and starts the rust cycle.
The practical payoff? Faster load restraint, a cleaner working deck, and a trailer that demands significantly less maintenance over its operating life. This build philosophy extends across the entire layout, including the flush 5mm checker-plate floor with in-deck tie-down points that sit level with the deck surface.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does ‘seamless’ mean in this trailer, and why does it matter?
The coaming rails on this trailer are built without joins, with tie-down points integrated directly into the rail itself. That means no raised edges or protruding fittings to work around when you’re strapping down machinery. It gives you a cleaner, flatter load surface and keeps your tie-down points exactly where you need them without having to work around the rail structure.
How much can the Tri Axle Seamless Tag Trailer carry?
The ATM is up to 27 tonnes, with a carry capacity of up to 20.8 tonnes. The three axles run 19.5 inch eight-stud hubs, rated to more than 22.5 tonnes for the tri axle group. As with any trailer, final capacity depends on the configuration and options you select, so it’s worth confirming your specific requirements directly with Beavertail before ordering.
Are the ramps hydraulic as standard, or is that an upgrade?
Hydraulic ramps come standard. The base model includes 3000mm x 780mm hydraulic double-acting ramps with a battery pack and 5mm checker plate, plus a stainless steel ramp hinge bar, load binder dogs and chains. If the standard ramps don’t suit your machine width or loading style, wider single-length ramps and bi-fold ramps are both available as optional extras.
What hitch options are available for connecting to my truck?
The trailer supports three coupling options:
- Pintle hook
- Bartlett Ball
- Flying Saucer
That covers the most common truck setups used across Australian worksites. If you’re unsure which suits your prime mover, the Beavertail team can advise at the quote stage before anything is fabricated.
Is this trailer a good fit for earthmoving or drilling operations?
It’s built with those applications in mind. The hydraulic ramps and low seamless deck handle heavy plant loading well, and the optional extras list includes hammer wells and custom-designed auger racks, which points directly at drilling contractors and post-hole boring operators.
The 7.5m deck and 1.5m beavertail also give you enough run-on length for most compact excavators and skid steers. If you’re running oversize loads, there’s also an oversize kit available (flags, signage and beacon).
